Sammy says: Twitter Critters is my online debut!

Kendra says: I've always been slightly techie/geeky? But only slightly. I loved video games throughout all of my school years. However, I made my younger brother navigate through the "scary parts" while I peeked from behind a pillow. Yep...
Moving on to the internet: I joined the "personal webpage" movement in high school, and it's still alive! I can't believe that I remember the URL, but it's right here: http://www.angelfire.com/il2/Kendra/ Now that's just crazy :)

After high school I went to college, had boyfriends, started my grooming career, got married, had a kid. Throughout that time I still dabbled online but didn't have much of a social presence beyond instant messaging.

Fast-forward to the past couple of months: I'm getting back online in spurts. I have a MySpace. I'm experimenting with blogs (http://www.groomerblog.com, http://www.sifrugalshopper.com) and just discovered Twitter, prompting the creation of Twitter Critters! It has been so long since I've been in the online scene, but I'm having fun exploring all of these new channels.

Whew, that was a fun trip down memory lane :) Who's next?

I joined twitter when I was almost 4 months old, before I even got to my new home - I sent my person telepathic messages for a week or so before I got here. I made my woofsite www.iTrixie.com a month or two after that. It tells about me, about my kind (papillons), about litterboxes for doggies, and has some fun stuff like anipal videos. I change it around a lot but I don't have as busy a life as some anipals so I don't have a blog about my daily activities - 140 characters is enough for me to tell what's going on. Also I'm not really selling anything there, but I do have some ads so my woofsite can help buy my kibble.

My person has been on the internets since the Dark Ages, around 1994 I think. She used to chat a lot and has met hundreds of persons from there (well, most of those were about 100 persons at one event), and she is good friends with a few persons from online. She does whatever she can to avoid having a regular job "out there" which is good, cuz I like having her around here. Mostly she fixes up financial conference call transcripts - whatever that means - I just know I have to hear a lot of boring people talk from the computer about boring money, and she makes sure the boring words on the screen say what the boring people are saying.

She also makes websites for herself and other persons. She has a busy one called www.Hamsterwatch.com that sounds like it's about anipals but really it's about persons inside the Big Brother house when they're inside it. She has another one called www.PogoTips.com that's about games and getting badges. And she helps a lot of music persons with their internets, like www.HilaryHahn.com - she plays violin all over the world.

My person has another new website in the works that will maybe be interesting to her and my twitter pals - I'll write more about that when it's ready.

Hello iTrixie! Did your person even get her new site running? Let us know! It sure seems *Odd* that we haven't had an update, teehee!

Being on Twitter is really my first direct experience online, although the household felines have been featured on a page of my human's website for several years now. As a senior catizen, I like Twitter because it lets me be social online in small doses, and isn't as much work as composing a full blog post - so it doesn't have as much impact on my napping time!

As for as my person, her first webpage was back on Angelfire as well (I don't think she remembers the exact address, though) - and she wrote the whole thing in NotePad. =^0,o^= Before that, she hung around on AOL bulletin boards for a while, had her first blog on PITAS, and moved from there to LiveJournal and then InsaneJournal. (Trust me, that last one fits.)

Notepad RULES. The lady's first web page was at Trenton State College in 1994.

I first gots online in 2006 via MySpace (which I still have). I try to get on when I can, but my mom and dad are ALWAYS doin' their own things on the Interwebz. Twitter is my second format and Twitter Critters is my third.

My mom has been on the 'webz regularly since 1998 via AOL. She used to be quite the online chatter, but has been mute in this regard for a few years now. Currently, she has MySpace, Facebook, interacts on one online forum and lurks in others.

My dad has been on the 'webz forever.... back in the DOS days! He has MySpace and Facebook... and hates them both. I can't get him to follow me on Twitter; he barely keeps up with me on MySpace :o(

I only got on Twitter a little while back. But my mom has been posting pics of me for ages, and I've been on Dogster since 2007.

She's been on the Internet since it went public back in 95. She was user #40 at the ISP that opened in our town. LOL

My mama has been online since before she realized she was online, back in the late 80's. Was a strange experience... I just started as a fluke.

She kept writing blog entries about me and my older brother Max and then thought it would be fun to let me try my own! That led to us both trying Twitter, and then when my Twitter and my blogs we more popular than hers, she gave up hers so I could focus on mine.
